The BONO.BLOCK, as a simple, modular plug-in system following the DIY principle, enables walls to be built quickly, sustainably and in a resource-saving manner.
SUSTAINABLE
The construction sector is responsible for around 40% of all GHG emissions worldwide.
The BONO.BLOCK, made of wood and filled with natural insulation materials, transforms buildings ranging from tiny houses to multi-storey buildings into CO2-storages.
EFFICIENT
Construction is cost-intensive: in 2023, the inflation rate in Germany was over 6%.
The BONO.BLOCK is based on an element-based, prefabricated process (EU-wide patent pending). Efficiency and DIY-contributions reduce construction costs significantly.
Story
Construction needs to change. This realization motivated us, the inventors Alfons Schwiderski and Udo Greif, construction professionals with decades of experience, to start looking for a solution in early 2022 on how building could be made simpler and more circular in the future.
After much conceptional thoughts, research, countless sketches, models, and prototypes, the BONO.BLOCK was developed in the following weeks and months and registered as an invention with the European Patent Office.

The BONO.BLOCK
With the BONO.BLOCK, we have developed an innovative building element with a powerful impact on the construction industry and society. The BONO.BLOCK enables the simple, sustainable, modular and circular construction of a building’s shell – inspired by the LEGO principle.
The individual BONO.BLOCKs are joined together in a simple and structurally designed way, so that the basic structure of any building can be erected very quickly – literally child’s play.
The first project we are realizing with the BONO.BLOCK is a showroom in Dortmund-Eving.
From the outset, we want to promote the idea of a simple, communal construction. Therefore, the realization is a community project that we are starting as a Kickstarter campaign. Thanks to all who backed our project!
